Stephanie Brown

Stephanie has been the color guard caption head of the Godwin Heights Marching Band since 2007. She has also worked with Northview High School and Exit 52 Winter guard. She marched with ensembles such as Interplay Winter Guard, The Blue Knights Drum Corps, and the Cadets Drum Corps. She currently holds a teaching certificate for Physical and health education as well as Bachelors in Psychology. Stephanie has been the director of Medley since inception.

Karen Mae

Karen Mae Wesolek's marching notable marching experience includes the Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps, Interplay World Winter Guard 2007 and 2010, and Onyx World from 2011-2014 (captain 2012-2014). Teaching experience includes 5 years of instructing fall and winter guard programs in Bay City (MI), Grand Rapids Northview High School Color Guard Caption Head from 07-present, Exit 52 Winter Guard 08-10, and several years helping at Godwin High School, Rockford High School, and Interplay Winter Guard. Most recently, she has instructed both Medley Winter Guard (IA, Michigan) and Cavaliers Indoor (IW, Illinois) in their inaugural seasons (2015). Has her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from GVSU, and practices as a licensed Physical Therapist and Credentialed Clinical Instructor at Spectrum Health Pennock in Hastings, MI. Works heavily with the Parkinson's population in Barry County, and helped develop a support group in the area. Working toward getting a specialty certification in the field of Geriatrics.

Megan Arreola

Megan Arreola started her colorguard career at Godwin Heights High School 2003-2006. During and after high school Megan was a member of Interplay Winterguard 2007-2013. Teaching experience includes Allegan High School 2007-2011, Godwin Heights 2011-Present, and several years of teaching various groups including Rockford, Fruitport, Forest Hills, Living Proof Winter Guard and Mona Shores. In 2014 she was co-director of Interplay A Winter Guard (WGI Finalist), In 2015 she helped as a flag tech for Medley Winter Guard (MCGC Bronze Medalist). and a flag tech for Interplay Open (WGI Champion). Megan graduated from GRCC in 2014 and is a licensed Dental Hygienist for two dental offices in Wyoming.

Mitch Warners

Mitchell Warners has eleven seasons of performance experience. Jenison High School Marching Band 2003-2007, Jenison Winter Drumline 2006-2007, Interplay A Winterguard 2009-2010, O2 Winterguard 2012, and Onyx Winterguard 2013-2014. His teaching experiences include Northview High School 2011-present, Zephyros Winterguard 2012, and Medley Winterguard 2015-present. Mitchell is employed at his family's art and drafting supply business Service Reproduction Company which has been located in downtown Grand Rapids for over 50 years. He would like to express his excitement in not only the first highly successful season of Medley Winterguard but the many more to come!

Sam Carlberg

Sam marched with Northview high school for three years and graduated in 2012. He finished his sixth year with Interplay winter guard. Sam has also marched three years with the Cavaliers and was made color guard sergeant in his final season. Sam taught the Godwin Heights Winter guard for two seasons and has also worked with Allegiance County Ensemble and Grandville high school fall guard. Sam is currently working towards his bachelors in Social studies education with a minor in history.

Erin Nelson

Erin's colorguard career began in 2007 with L'Anse Creuse High School in Harrison Twp, MI. She marched in their fall and winter programs from 2007-2010. After high school, Erin went on to get her degree from Western Michigan University in Communication Studies with a double minor in Women And Gender Studies / Psychology. She spent 3 summers on tour; 2 with the Troopers drum and bugle corps and 1 with the Glassmen drum and bugle corps. Erin also has a variety of indoor marching experience ranging from Interplay Winterguard (2012 & 2013) to Medley in its inaugural season. Over the years, she has taught at several schools around west Michigan and is very excited to begin teaching at Medley!

Hannah Griffore

Hannah Griffore began her colorguard career by accident. Originally thinking she would be trying out for the high school cheer team, her ride to cheer auditions ended up taking her to colorguard auditions instead. The rest is history. Hannah performed with the Jenison High School Colorguard from 2006-2009. From there she went on to march with Interplay Winterguard in 2009 and 2010. She continued her education and experience at the Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps for four seasons from 2009-2012. At the Blue Stars, she served as one of the captains for the 2011 and 2012 seasons. During the winters of 2011-2013, she performed with Zydeco Winterguard, serving as one of the co-captains for the 2013 season. She finished  out her marching seasons marching the Pride of Cincinnati Winterguard in 2015. 

Hannah has continued her involvement in the activity through teaching. She taught at Jenison High School for four years, serving as a weapon and dance technician. She additionally helped with Interplay Winterguard, serving as a weapon technician for the Independent A team. She currently works at Northview High School, serving as a weapon technician. She has taught and choreographed at multiple high schools, including Carroll High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana and Texas A&M Commerce in Commerce, Texas. In the summer of 2014, she taught at the Troopers Drum and Bugle Corps, as the lead movement technician. 

During these years of marching and teaching, Hannah earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. She is currently employed with a home medical equipment supplier
